A proud native of Springfield, Ohio, Josh was born and raised in the community he continues to serve today. A graduate of North High School, Josh went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Wilberforce University. With a lifelong passion for reading, learning, and investing in the lives of young people, Josh has remained deeply committed to uplifting youth in the community.

His journey with Freedom School began while researching enriching summer opportunities for their own children, and that experience sparked a lasting dedication to the program’s mission. Today, as Executive Director of The Covenant United Methodist Freedom School, Josh leads with purpose, ensuring that scholars are empowered through literacy, leadership, and love.
